Discover the Art of Marinating and Give Your Chicken an Explosive Flavor and Tender Texture! With a little preparation and the right recipes, marinating will become your favorite secret in the kitchen.

Why Do We Marinate?

TENDERNESS:

An acidic marinade made with wine or vinegar can soften the tough fibers of the meat, resulting in tenderness. However, be careful! Don’t exceed the marinating time to prevent the marinade’s flavor from overpowering the meat.

MOISTURE & FLAVOR:

An oil-based marinade keeps the meat moist and adds rich aromas, enhancing the overall flavor experience of the final dish.

Try the following marinades to enjoy their magical effects:

Orange & Olive Oil:

Mix 100ml of olive oil, the zest of 1 orange, 3 garlic cloves, 1 tbsp oregano, and freshly ground pepper. Perfect for an aromatic twist!

Cumin & Cinnamon:

Combine 100ml of olive oil, 1 tbsp ground cumin, 1 tsp paprika, cinnamon, zest of 1 lime, 1 crushed garlic clove, 1/2 small chili pepper (seeded and finely chopped), and freshly ground pepper for an exotic touch..

 

Yogurt & Coriander:

Mix 100g of yogurt, 1 tsp salt, juice of 1 lemon, 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, 1 tsp freshly ground pepper, 1 tsp crushed coriander seeds, and a little oil. Perfect for a refreshing taste experience. In this marinade, let the chicken sit for at least 4 hours, but the results will reward you.

Red Wine and Herb Marinade:

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, add the chicken thighs, and let marinate in the fridge for 4 to 6 hours. You will need: 250 ml dry red wine, 1 medium onion, 4 garlic cloves, 4 sprigs rosemary, 1/4 bunch parsley, 4 allspice berries, 2 large bay leaves, and 10 black peppercorns.

Fennel, Olive Oil, and Ouzo Marinade:

A marinade that will elevate the chicken. Mix 1 cup of olive oil, 2 tbsp ouzo, 3 tbsp crushed fennel seeds, 1 cup finely chopped fresh fennel, 2 tbsp dill, 1/2 cup soy sauce, 2 tsp turmeric, 2 tsp salt, and 2 tsp pepper.

Orange Juice and Brandy Marinade:

Mix 400 ml of orange juice, 600 ml of red wine, 50 ml of brandy, and 50 ml of soy sauce. Pour the mixture over your chicken and cover with plastic wrap in the fridge for about half to one hour. For cooking, you will need 200 ml orange juice, 200 ml red wine, 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 1 coffee cup brandy, 1 coffee cup honey, 1 coffee cup brown sugar, 2 sprigs rosemary, 5-6 bay leaves, whole cloves, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and 100 ml olive oil.

 

Yogurt and Ginger Marinade:

Mix together: 200g of strained yogurt, 2 tbsp mustard, 50 ml soy sauce, 50 ml olive oil, 2 tbsp grated ginger, 2 crushed garlic cloves, 2 tsp dried thyme, 2 tsp smoked sweet paprika, and 2 tsp freshly ground pepper. Pour it over your chicken and cover with plastic wrap. Place the chicken in the fridge for about half to one hour. Before cooking, let the chicken come to room temperature for an extra delicious result.

 

Mustard, Honey, and Thyme Marinade:

Create a feast of flavors and aromas with your chicken. Mix together: 10-12 teaspoons of oil, 10-12 teaspoons of sweet mustard, 2 tablespoons of honey, salt, pepper, oregano, and lemon. Then add the chicken to this mixture and let it marinate for 3-4 hours.

Brush the chosen marinade over the chicken and let it "absorb" the flavor for at least one hour in the fridge. Cook it in a non-stick pan, on the grill, or in the oven, repeating the brushing for more flavor.

 

With these marinades, your chicken will elevate your meal and impress every palate.
